In an effort to immediately address the overcrowding of the Imperial Valley College (IVC) Express bus routes from the City of Calexico to the IVC Campus between the hours of 6:28 A.M. and 8:30 A.M., Monday through Thursday, First Transit Inc. (IVT Operator) has agreed to provide one additional IVC Express bus trip in the morning for no additional cost to ICTC. The additional IVC Express trip will begin Monday February 11, 2013 through February 28, 2013. ICTC and First Transit, Inc. are finalizing agreements to continue the additional IVC Express bus trip from March 1, 2013 through the remainder of the spring semester, that ends on Friday May 10, 2013.

The additional IVC Express bus trip will run Monday through Thursday beginning at 7:00 AM at the Hacienda bus stop in Calexico, and arrive at the IVC Campus at approximately 7:47 A.M. First Transit Inc. and ICTC will continue to monitor the IVC Express bus route service together with all other IVT routes throughout the region.
